Mission Statement
The Conklin Award was created to honor the memory of James E. Conklin, M.D., a superb hunter and stalwart conservationist. Dr. Conklin exhibited the highest degree of ethics in his extensive hunting career. Further, he demonstrated a strong commitment to wildlife conservation. In this spirit, The Conklin Award recognizes the world’s greatest active hunter who pursues game in the most difficult terrain and conditions while abiding by the highest standards of ethics and fair chase.
